Kelly McCue seated in her office, personal injury attorney serving St. Petersburg and Tampa Bay

Hi, I'm Kelly.

Outside of work, most of my time is spent with my family.

My son is big into basketball, so a lot of our time is spent at games and practices. My daughter is currently studying Biomedical Sciences at Florida State University.

That part of my life keeps me grounded. It reminds me how quickly things can change, and how important it is to have someone you can count on when they do.

Most of the people who call me were just going about their normal lives not that long ago. Work, family, routines, plans. And then something happens that throws everything off.

If you’re here, there’s a good chance something like that just happened to you.

Now you’re dealing with a lot all at once.

You might be hurt. You might be stressed. You’re probably getting calls from insurance companies.

And you’re trying to figure out who you can trust and what you’re supposed to do next.

That’s usually where our conversation starts.

How I Got Here

I started working in law back in 2005, long before I became an attorney.

I worked as a legal assistant and a paralegal in both family law and personal injury. I spent years sitting with people during some of the hardest moments in their lives. That’s where I learned how overwhelming this process can feel when no one is explaining things clearly.

I went on to earn my degree in political science from the University of South Florida, along with a Certificate in Paralegal Studies, and later my law degree from Western Michigan University, Thomas M. Cooley Law School.

I’m licensed to practice in Florida, New Jersey, and New York; and I’m admitted to the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. I am also a member of both the New Jersey Association for Justice and the Florida Justice Association.

But the most important part of my experience isn’t where I went to school, the licenses I hold or the associations to which I belong — it’s the time I’ve spent listening to people and helping them through situations that feel uncertain and stressful.

How I Work With Clients

I try to keep things simple.
I answer the phone.
I return calls.
I explain things in plain language.
I stay involved in your case from beginning to end.
If you have a question, you don’t have to wonder who to call. If something doesn’t make sense, I take the time to walk through it with you.

A lot of people come to me because they felt ignored somewhere else. I built my practice so that doesn’t happen here.

What Matters to Me

The legal side of this work is important.
But how people are treated matters just as much.

You deserve to feel heard.
You deserve clear answers.
You deserve to know what’s going on with your case.

I take that responsibility seriously.

What It’s Like to Work With Me

When you call my office, you’re going to talk to a real person.
And very often, you’ll talk directly to me.

I keep my practice personal on purpose.

I want to hear what happened.
I want to understand what you’re dealing with.
And I want to help you make sense of it in a way that actually feels clear.

You won’t get rushed through a call.
You won’t feel like just another case.

We take the time to slow things down and figure out what matters most for you right now.
